For Sale

I've been an MIA blogger. SO sorry. The reason is-we've listed our house for sale. The sign went out today. I have mixed feelings-I love this house and will miss it, but we want to down size and get a one story house. We haven't looked at much yet- but now that all the hard work is done, we can really start looking. My dream house? Well, small enough to be charming and cute, but big enough to keep most of my stuff. I know I'll have to get rid of some furniture and I really need to curb my thrifting habit. Anyway-we've been working our butts off getting everything ready. Now it the upkeep part. No big projects where I can leave out my mess, no big baking projects. Boo Hoo. I'll keep you posted on progress. Now I can finally check out your lovely blogs. That doesn't make a mess. Happy Easter to you all!

  8. Sizing down did NOT work for us when we moved from CA to Alaska and had a smaller home built. Last year we added 1100 square feet onto it plus 6 years ago built a guest cottage for family and friends as we really had no room in the house. We're still finishing the downstairs section of the new addition. When you retire you think you need small but only if you are totally alone. Family and friends visit us here and we need room to entertain and put them up plus we have two large dogs in the house. If you have family visit I would rethink going smaller. Nan
