Of Mice and Cashmere

This is what I should be doing. I ordered some oilcloth and it came yesterday. So excited. It looks even better in person. I want to make little chair covers for my outside ice cream parlor chairs. Any hints from you guys on sewing oilcloth would be appreciated,
But here's what I've been doing. If you follow my blog , you know I have all this wool laying around. After looking at it , I thought it would be cute to make some little softies.

Then I had to photograph them all over the house.

Because they are cute.
Anyway, back to errands and sewing stuff for real today!
p.s. my nickname when I was a Girl Scout Camp Counselor was Mouse! Have a great weekend! It's starting to get hot here already. Summer's almost here.

  6. Hickory dickory dock, the mice ran up the clock! They're SO sweet, Leslie!
I can't wait to see how the chairs turn out. I wish the fabric stores around here sold oilcloth, but they don't, so I'll have to break down and buy some online one day too. I bet if you Google "sewing oilcloth" you'll come up with something, and then you can do a tutorial for us!

  7. Love the oil cloth. I've used to it cover seats of patio set but never sewn on it.

Your little mice are sooooo cute!

  8. You've been up to more cute stuff Leslie! your mice are so darling and I can't wait to see your chairs when you're done.

I ignored all of my "should dos" and tried to be creative yesterday and figure out some sort of present for my oldest nieces graduation on June 3rd and ... nothing! ZIP! Could not think of a thing. I am so RUSTY!

Glad to hear you're enjoying the Tree Maker (name?) program - my big question is, will it eventually hold all the info you have online and you will be able to cancel your membership? (she asks since she's been paying for more than a year now teehee!)

    Happy happy week to you!
