This and That

I found these thrifting awhile back and want to do something with them. Maybe a shadow box. They remind me of the images on vintage cards. I keep getting off on tangents, like working on geneology, when I should be sewing away on wool. Do you ever do that?
This is a photo of my Grandma and my beloved Aunt Ruth. They were 2 years apart and inseparable. I could move into that kitchen right now. I think that roasting pan went to my Mom , because I faintly remember it. Look at their cute dresses!
Aunt Ruth is the one who taught me to love crafts and later I taught her to sew with a pattern. I have alot of her ceramics that she made(always with long human eyelashes) I'm so in love with that sink!!! I am going to try to get back on track today. Just thought I'd pop in. My computer was down over the weekend so I didn't get to do my Mothers Day post. I hope you all had a great day and weekend!

  2. Hi Leslie!

My middle name is "tangent" hahahhahaha! Something seems to capture my interest and I get led astray and hours pass. :)

Your grammie and your auntie are so cute! My mother adored "shirt waist dresses" and would have loved those. I have some of her vintage patterns and the skirts are HUGE and the waists TINY. So much fun.

Oh gosh, I've got my husband hooked on the genealogy thing - he tells me this morning that he signed up for another service - I think it's Archive, something or other. So we currently have two services, too funny!

Happy happy day to you, may you stay focused and accomplish the things you need to :)

I'm hoping to make it through some more boxes today - I've gotten lots sorted and organized - now if I could just decrease the number of boxes!
