Autumn has Arrived

Fall weather has finally hit Texas. It's cool and dreary out side, perfect for a nesting kind of day. Here's my  fall decorations. I love the chipmunk salt and peppers.
I love to mix in vintage figurines.
Simple wool fall leaf banner over the hutch.
A few pillows I made a while back.
Here's a fall leaf  and acorn penny rug that I've shown before.
After doing up the Halloween mantle , I thought I'd keep it simple for fall this year.

Thank you, Dorothy from Dorothy Prudie Vintage !  I was the lucky winner of this great magazine and cute little extras too. Check out Dorothy's Etsy shop, she has a wonderful selection of great fabrics.
I'm making  chile and cornbread for dinner tonight. We ran all our errands this morning, so we can stay in and watch some football, and maybe I'll do some sewing later. I'm loving this weather and the feeling that autumn has finally arrived! I hope you are having nice weather and it's not too cold yet.
Leslie

  2. Your hutch is amazing! Love the leaf banner! I'm glad you can finally enjoy the autumn season. It seems that it's been Fall aleady for about 2 months up here in MN!
    Enjoy your cozy day,
    Erica :)

  3. First of all, I'm in love with your hutch! And your figurines make me smile, especially Mr. Chipmunk with his toothy grin. Your simple leaf banner is perfect hanging across your hutch. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Your banner is fantastic and those sale & pepper shakers are just perfect. I spent most of the weekend raking up the last of the fall leaves. It was unseasonable warm today. Hard to believe snow is predicted for Tuesday. Enjoy your fall weather. Get cozy!!

  11. You have added just the right touches of fall around your house. I like it and noticed a wreath like mine hanging on the cabinet door. I have mine hanging in my kitchen window. Looks so nice. You do not see many chipmunk items. Your salt and pepper are cute.

  12. Hi Leslie, I had heard of Mary Jane's Farm blog, but did not know there is a magazine. I would love to know if you enjoyed it. Also, Texas! As I begin to make my Valentines for next year, I wanted to make one for you, but I am giggling at the size of the puzzle piece for your state. It's bigger than my Valentine delivery man! I think I will have to make you a Love Bug and just send along the puzzle piece separately. PS I love your fall decorations. It threw me for a moment when you said fall has arrived. I thought many posts were missing. With frost here on the ground already, I had to rethink my states and their weather. Love your chipmunks! Have a great week. E

Your home is so welcoming and country/cottagey. What a perfect hutch you have for seasonal displays. As always...I love popping in and seeing what you have been creating.
Just love that cute little smile on your snappy little chipmunk.

  17. Hi Leslie,
All three movies were terrific! Daniel Day Lewis is extraordinary as Lincoln, but then he always is.

    Happy movie going!
