Here Comes Peter Cottontail

I had this sitting on my desk forever and finally finished him. I got the vintage teacup at the thrift store.
I thought it needed a little garden and Easter bunny . I used the prettiest vintage pink and gray rick rack on the edge.
I only finished one wreath. Oh well-there's always next year.
Here's some of my Easter decorations.

The back drop is a page from a vintage Peter Rabbit book.

I found this cute felt couple at an antique store a few years ago. I want to recreate the pattern.
Look at her cute little purse. Mr. Mouse is giving Mrs. Rabbit a posy.
I'll share the rest of my decor next week. The weather has been so nice here. I hope it stays. I've been doing a little spring cleaning and finishing income taxes. I know -I was doing that 2 weeks ago. Have a nice weekend-and get rid of the snow.

  1. I love all your Easter decor....so sweet & springy! Those teacups and saucers in the last picture are beautiful! I'll have to keep my eye out for some of those! Are they milk glass? I still have to do my taxes too....been putting it off!

  2. All your decor is so cute! Your bunny in a tea cup is so darling - I don't know if I've ever seen two toned rick rack before??? Red and white, I guess? Love the pink and grey, so perfect.

ARGH! I thought I only had a couple of figures to add to my worksheets and could drop off my taxes today ... nuh uh ... nothin' doin'! PHOOEY! Every day brings some more craziness and something missed. I've lost one of my property tax bills for my dad's house (it's paid of course so doesn't really matter but it makes me feel like I'm losing my mind) - I've never done that before in my life. When will I return to normal?! So very tired of feeling like a lunatic.

Look forward to seeing the rest of your Easter decor!

  4. You always have the sweetest treasures. Love the idea of putting a bunny in a teacup. Your felt couple is just priceless. I'm so glad you rescued them. They would be so much fun to recreate again. I'm jealous of your weather. It's snowing like crazy here. We got 7 additional inches yesterday. Happy Spring!!

  12. Leslie!
Will you be my sob sister puhleeeezzzeee?! I just got a letter from the IRS and they say I under reported my dad's income and owe more taxes ... I checked the Trust return and my CPA reported the income correctly, at least the same total I gave him. WAH! I'm about to lose all my marbles good grief.
Hope today has been brighter for you!
