I'm joining Sue at It's a Very Cherry World today for Rednesday. Check out the other reds.
I hit the jack pot on red Pyrex this week at the thrift stores. I found these three red refrigerator dishes with lids. I love these and use my Pyrex all the time. I serve food in them and then put the lids on and stick the leftovers in the fridge.
I love that you can stack them up for easy storage. I also found the red bowl below. I can't seem to pass up Pyrex. The last thing I have to share is this pretty red silk shawl. I love the colors and it has a pretty yellow fringe.
It's still so hot here-about 103 and it's supposed to stay that way all week. I am so ready for fall. What about you? Try to stay cool and enjoy the rest of the week!
Leslie

What luck! I love pyrex and use mine too. I have a set of refrigerator dishes in the aqua amish pattern. Wish I could find some yellow...
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie!
ReplyDeleteOh! I adore your red pyrex! I have one of those little ones in yellow and a slightly larger yellow orange one left from a four piece set given to me in 1972. Love them. How great you found the bowl too. I have such Pyrex envy.
whisper whisper - we haven't had much of a summer, so I'm not quite ready for fall yet. I do love Fall though - Indian Summer is my favorite time of year, warm days, cool nights. Glorious.
I wish I could send you some of our cool mornings and nights. Hope you cool off soon! Constant heat is so draining.
Happy Rednesday,
Sally
LOL...it must be "pyrex" night. The post before yours had pyrex fever, too. Great photos. Thanks for sharing with us all.
ReplyDeleteLove the red pyrex! I have some just like them in green and they were my grandmother's. Love the red bowl too...I have a set of red mixing bowls. I love having red in the kitchen.
ReplyDelete~Cindy~
SNAP! Two in a row! I suppose it's bound to happen sometimes. I like my pyrex too, but it's clear.
ReplyDeleteHappy REDnesday,

Well, your BFF is home from the "Land of Oz!"...be sure to read my e-mail to you. I saw tons of pyrex (including those red ones you have) at an antique mall (one of many and flea markets)on my way back yesterday! You would have fainted!!! I almost bought some of those red ones you have in your pictures. But, bought some other "goodies" instead. Donna
ReplyDeleteI have one or two like these little Pyrex dishes. I got them from one of our family estates. They are very old. I love them for the size.
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie! You are a very lucky girl!! What great finds. It's hot here too and just yesterday I was thinking that I am starting to long for fall. I thought better of it though because time goes by fast enough as it is. Hope it cools off a bit so that we both can enjoy the rest of August.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Susan and Bentley

Oh Leslie, Love you your red hot finds, but tell me in the bowl picture is that a vintage dish towel or a tablecloth..it looks soooo cute?
ReplyDeleteLove the red pyrex.
ReplyDeleteOh boy! You surely did hit the jackpot with those wonderful Pyrex red refrigerator dishes and lids. I likey :) And you even found a red Pyrex bowl....the "thrifting gods" were smiling down on you ;) I love the cloths you have under the Pyrex, too. Happy REDnesday~
ReplyDeleteLove those refrigerator dishes, I have a set but don't use them because I'm afraid I will break them. I need to get them out and enjoy them, silly girl! Pyrex use a really nice red on their products, so reds can be too orangey, their is perfect. Thanks for stopping by, always enjoy reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteMy! I need a proofreader....what I meant was: Pyrex company used a really nice red on their products, some reds can be too orangey, their's is the perfect shade. Also, I think I am a follower, if not, I will be. Thanks again!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie,
ReplyDeleteI'd say you hit the jackpot!! I love pyrex and as I commented on another blog, am always on the lookout for it. Your colors look so vibrant, not worn out or faded. Great find. AND, yes I am ready for fall. I don't know how much more humidity I can take!!
Fondly,
Ann

Your Pyrex containers and bowl are such a wonderful red! Those are great finds!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a Pyrex Rednesday! Amazing that you found the covers with them, too. I'm jealous of your son's trip - I lived in Germany and Belgium about 25 years ago!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely scored big time on those Pyrex dishes..and totally vintage. I just LOVE them. Hubby was just commenting last night, 'we are almost out of Pyrex (he even knows what they are now, LOL)as he loaded up left overs to put in the fridge.
ReplyDeleteI had bought numerous ones from Walmart during the winter months and got rid of all my Tupperware. I still purchase the vintage ones at yard sales (and prefer them actually to the newer versions). The ones you have shared are PERFECT..the red is the perfect shade I love too.
Gorgeous little refrigerator dishes! I use glass in my fridge all the time, but my dishes are not nearly as pretty as yours (nor are they as old).
ReplyDeleteWow, you did hit the jackpot! Love Pyrex and the red is such a cheery color. :) Thanks for your visit.
ReplyDeleteWonderful reds, I love them all. I loved red for a long time, and I think I am starting to fall in love with reds again. :-)
ReplyDeleteI have one little dish like yours. It was my mother-in-law's. I also have a couple of others in other sizes, but not red. Your blog is so cute! Thanks for stopping by mine the other day. Hope it has cooled off for you. Our summer is cooler than usual, but it still gets into the 80's during the day. But sometimes it stays down in the 70's. That I like.

Great finds, I love the red Pyrex !
