HAPPY SPOOKY HALLOWEEN! Here is my creepy Nightmare Before Christmas Tablescape.
I used alot of thrift store stuff-the yellow plates remind me of the moon and I cut the black silhouette out of paper. I used black marker to make Jack on the white pumpkins. All of the black fabric and tablecloth was from the thrift store. I draped it over the chairs for a haunted house look. The Nightmare Before Christmas snowglobe was my inspiration. It was my oldest sons. I knew there was some reason I couldn't get rid of it!
Spider under glass anyone?
Here a few night shots. I even found the yellow globe and covered it with black bat stickers.
The tarnished silver goblets were even found at the thrift store. All the candle holders as well.
This is my antique pewter coffee set dressed up in cobwebs. Vintage orange sherbet dished, were my Mom's.
I found the diecut black gate at a scrapbook store and knew it would work well on my hutch. The black crow was found at Hobby Lobby.
The black plates are from the dollar store. I used different wine glasses for the candy corn, M&M's and chocolate eyeballs.
The napkins are fat quarters from JoAnns. I had the yellow round placemats and used everyday flatware.
I hope you enjoyed my ghoulish table. It was the most fun to collect stuff for this and put it together.

Love this scape, so many great ideas! The pumpkins are adorable, and I never would have thought of a polka dot tablecloth but it is perfect, and the chairs covered with fabric are a great touch!
ReplyDeleteI love your pewter set and the sheberts are adorable. Your table is wonderful too. I love the draped fabric over the chairs. Wow... thanks for dropping in.. Happy halloween.

ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween, have fun eating all that candy!
How Nightmarish! Love the color combinations of the black and yellow. You certainly captured the theme. That was clever to use the yellow on the plates. My kids would love this.

that's an awesome table I love it. I like how you drew Jack's face on the little pumpkins, what a great idea. The yellow plate is perfect to mimic the yellow moon. I like how you draped the chairs too, they look pretty spooky that way. You did a fantastic job.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend.

ReplyDeleteGenious!! I can almost hear the music...this is Halloween, this is Halloween. I love the soundtrack from that movie. The polka dot table cloth is perfect because there is definitely a bit of whimsical in Jack. You did good!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous table setting! I'm a fan of Tim Burton. I think he'd approve!
ReplyDeleteThe yellow is great!!! I haven't seen a lot of yellow used this season, so this is really refreshing!!! Have a great Halloween!
ReplyDeleteSpooky! I love the bright pop of yellow against the black. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI like the different take on color for Halloween with your yellow and black color theme. Your mom's orange compotes are wonderful. I'll bet that she's smiling to know that they are on your table. Great eye for design! Thank you for sharing your spooky vignette. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteYour table is great! I love the silhouettes on the yellow plates -- truly inspired. A lot of great ideas here. Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie!
ReplyDeleteI had to come look at your table setting again, you must have had so much fun putting it together.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the Not Martha tentacle pot pie, I'll look forward to hearing about it! We enjoyed the stuffed pumpkin - I put a bit too much salt in (either that or the faux bacon has a really HIGH sodium count and I wonder about the gruyere???) and not enough cream (even though I added more than she listed argh!) - so I know what to do differently next time.
Hoping your dad continues to feel better by the minute!
Happy Halloween,
Sally
Your table looks so great. The dollar store has so much amazing stuff, especially this year. You put everything together so well.
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness this is fabulous! If my daughter saw this she would want it for her table all year long! LOL
