Hi All-I've been a busy little elf!
And am starting to get things together and organized. I'll let you in on my little secret soon!
I forgot to show you my fall leaf garland. I used felted wool sweaters for the leaves,
and little felt balls and real acorn hats for the tops. Stitched and held together with rick rack. I ironed on fabric with fusible interfacing on the back.Easy and fun.
Also I keep forgetting to post this picture. Remember a few posts back about the ginormous honey crisp apple? Well I had to caramel coat it, and of course I'm not satisfied until it has some chocolate and crushed walnuts on it.
It took us 3 days to eat that thing, but it was worth all the calories. Yum! I hope you had a great weekend-we were busy, cleaning the garage, going to Ikea, watching football and eating(too much). Just wanted to thank you all for wonderful and helpful comments. They really make my day!

Love your felt leaf garland. I have my leaves in the dining room. I love how you used a real acorn top for the felted acorns. Apple looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteA girl has to have a Diet Coke, it goes so well with calories! It's my favorite. You've made me hungry for a caramel apple. Love the garland, and can't wait to see what you're going to do with your other pieces. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou tease!! It looks like a great project..I can't wait to see it.Did you make the top picture? If so ..OMG!!
ReplyDeleteLove the garland.

HA! That's a funny shot of the decadent apple next to a diet Coke! I love your leaf garland, and it looks like maybe you're making little treats for the elves? I know they're not real, but they look good enough to eat!
ReplyDeleteThose fall leaves and the acorns are adorable Leslie!
ReplyDeleteMy mouth is watering after seeing the apple..mmmmm.
Have a happy day!
