It's beginning to look alot like Christmas-except it's going to be close to 80 degrees today. Crazy! I'm still doing some decorating, but here's the kitchen. You've seen some of these things before, but I Christmased up the little kitchen hutch. For those of you who missed this-here's a link to the redo of this thrift store hutch.I pulled out all the red and green to put in here.
Most of the stuff in here was thrifted or found at garage sales. Here's my little kitchen tree.
My shelf above the window has a little greenery added. It's kind of easy to do Christmas, when your kitchen is already red and white.
Here's my Ikea wreath on the back door.
Our little cocoa station set up on the counter. Napkins from Ikea.
I made these Grandmas coat ornies awhile back. I used felted wool stuffed and hand sewed them. The little hanger is bent wire.See the little beret?
Here's her car coats.Don't they look like Grandmas coats? These will go on the big tree.
Thank you sweet Renee from My Vintage Mending for this cute music ornament and glitter cookie cutter ornie. I love them both! They will look so pretty on the tree.
I'm joining Brenda's party Tweak it Tuesday . Go check out some other tweaks and projects for some inspiration.I will post more Christmas decor later this week. Maybe our weather will cool down. I'll be watching some Christmas movies this weekend. I already saw the Grinch-just love that one! Deck the Halls and Happy week to you!
Leslie

Your kitchen is just Christmas perfect. I'm just smitten with those sweet little coats. I've been on a mission to find a metal truck for a bottle brush tree. If your's comes up missing, you might need to visit West MI. Hugs.

ReplyDeleteGood morning, Leslie!
ReplyDeleteRight now I feel like singing "These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things"! You and I are red lovers in a big way. I am smitten with everything. Oh...that little truck and all your cheery vintage kitchen utensils. I have a 1950s Cosco stool and I've been wondering where to put my kitchen tree. I hope you don't mind if I use your idea, too.
Thanks for sharing your darling Christmas pretties, my friend.
Thank you, too, for your kind comments on my blog.
Have a great week!
Blessings,
Carolynn xxx
A - ha....I just know we had to be related somewhere back down the road...the little red stove that you are showing in the 4th picture, also resides in my kitchen. Mine is the original paint job, but I think it's the very same stove! Of course I love your music ornament...too cute!!
ReplyDeleteAll your polka dots are a pure delight. Love them. Happy Christmas, Olive
ReplyDeleteLeslie, your Christmas-ified kitchen is superb! Love all the green and red polkadots. and the toy truck with with the tree in it. And I adore the little tin toy teacups on the tree. But most especially I LOVE the little felt coats you made! :-)

ReplyDeleteWe watched the Grinch also over the weekend! Love the Christmas decor, and you are right, it's perfect for your kitchen colors!
ReplyDeleteLeslie! Everything is so wonderful, especially your little kitchen tree. I too have come home with a curbside hutch that I am begging my husband to let me paint white. I will have to drag him to the computer once again to see yours! Inspiration!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the ornament Leslie. I can't tell you how much this means to me. The top hat to the side is the perfect touch to the cute snowman scene inside. I would love to know where you found such a large circle. It's wonderful! Again, thank you! I'm speechless! Elizabeth
I adore every one of your vintage treasures. That red and green truck is my favorite! Happy to be a new follower.

All you vintage touches look so pretty. Love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie!
ReplyDeleteOh! your little winter coat ornaments are so CUTE! And your kitchen is beyond darling, love it all. I adore your little tree with all the kitchen ornaments. I love your hutch and all your treasures, your little Dutch couple (s&p's?) have long been a favorite of mine.
I don't know if this will make you laugh or cry - I could kick myself over and over and over ... I inherited my mom's santa mugs (that we'd have ovaltine in when I was little) and the paint was coming off them in sharp shards/sheets and I gave the worst of them away. Dumb dodo head. I think I saved two??? ACK!
Happy Tuesday! xoxo
I love your red and white kitchen and that sweet old truck really captured my heart! :)
ReplyDeleteI jumped when I saw the red and white cake dome. I have that one, too!
