I have been doing a little stitching in my spare time. I love redwork and used some extra quilt squares from a quilt I made a few years back.
I'm not sure what I'll turn these into yet. Maybe a few pillows?
I also stitched up some hearts. I had 12, but Bowie got a hold of one and pulled the stuffing out. These were from the extra upcycled sheet fabric from the latest quilt I made.I think I'll make a heart garland with these. Finally decorated the kitchen hutch for Valentines day.
Speaking of Bowie, he just got a haircut. He loves sunbathing in the little sun spots all over the house.
Next up I will be working on a project here. Anyone have any guesses?
Have a wonderful week!
Leslie
I love red-work and these are so pretty. There is nothing that says country better than red-work. Your embroidery is lovely. Looking forward to your mystery project.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Connie :)
I love your red work projects, Leslie. I always love seeing how you decorate your charming hutch, and it looks especially pretty decked out in my favorite color. Bowie looks sooooo handsome with his new haircut. I'm looking forward to seeing what your project is at the end of your post.
ReplyDeleteI feel a closeness with you on the stitching---I never heard the term redwork, though...
ReplyDeleteThe hearts are precious. Someone else thought so, too! :)

Hi Leslie, Love all your darling hearts from the quilt scrapes. Beautiful way to use them up and how nice it will be for a heart garland. Also love your red stitch designs. They will make sweet pillows or sachets. Your hutch is adorable with the red and vintage pretties.
ReplyDeleteSweet Bowie is so cute sporting his new hair cut. Love him in his sweater sunny himself.
Have fun with your new project. I not sure, but I will guess open shelving.
Whatever you do will be awesome. Have fun and enjoy this nice warm weather.
