My hubby's allergies have been killing him lately, he's been sneezing up a storm. Everytime he sneezes, it reminds me of my hankie obsession. If you're old enough you probably remember always carrying a hankie in your little purse when you got dressed up. I love vintage hankies and thought I'd show you what I've used some of them for.Pillow above was made of a monagram hankie-I folded it before sewing so I wouldn't have to cut it.
I love holiday color hankies to use for displays. I especially love my Christmas hankies-they are packed away for now.
I collected blue and red hankies for my craft room window. I also did the same thing in my bedroom-I think I bought every green hankie in the Dallas- Fort Worth area.
I think they add a tough of vintage and color whereever you put them. I'm always on the lookout for great looking hankies-you can use them anywhere. To anyone out there with allergies-Gesundheit!

That pillow is just gorgeous! I've been using hankies from my collection lately, in amongst my displays too. They add such a great pop of color. And I noticed your little scotty planter. I just got one this past weekend!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!

Leslie, I'm joining the others to tell you that I've tried all day to leave a message on your current post, and it just won't work. So I'll tell you here that I love the little Sweet Shoppe so much, and if there was a bed upstairs, I would move in!
ReplyDeleteHappy REDnesday!

Hi Leslie,
ReplyDeleteMe too! WAH! I wanted to leave you message, tried several times and couldn't. Your dollhouse is the cutest thing EVER! Oh my gosh, adorable. I used to collect dollhouse miniatures and always wanted a house but I'm so fickle, I couldn't decide on a theme or style.
Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting today!

Hi Leslie,
ReplyDeleteI am glad I am not the only one who could not leave a comment on today's post. I thought I was doing something wrong. I am stopping in to visit from Rednesday. Your dollhouse is the most adorable thing ever!!! I'm with Carol---I could just move right on in. I have my dollhouse from when I was a little girl. My dad made it for me. It needs a little update however. I was a little girl in the 70's and it is decorated with shag carpets and orange wallpaper :) But I love it and wouldn't trade it for anything. Thanks for sharing yours.
Mimi~
Hi Honey, I can't leave you a comment on your awesome doll house. The comment thing won't work. Wow, there is a whole community of ya'll that do doll houses.
ReplyDeleteLove the Sweet Shoppe - I'd love to just sit there with a cup of coffee and a big sweet something!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I love your scrapbook pages - what a fabulous idea! They look fantastic!
