Rednesday and comments
I'm so excited to receive comments this morning.Thank you! Yea!!! I think I may start to really love blogging. I'm not much of a writer, but am an avid reader of many blogs. If I ever figure this out I will mention them.
On to Rednesday hosted by It's a Very Cherry World. The red stool was thrifted by my Mom. She always knew what I loved. The little red teapot thermometer was found at a garage sale. The little pot holder hanging on it was found at an antiques store. I think red is such a happy color, don't you? I think red goes with every type of decor, vintage, country, really anything.
I'm off to find some flowers -I think I missed the boat on nice weather here last weekend and everything is sold out or picked over. I may have to wait until Friday to get a good selection. It's great day here in Texas. Enjoy yours!

Hi Leslie!
ReplyDeleteI've found your charming blog via Creative Breathing. (I think we were both in the heart garland group for E?) I will look forward to returning and following along.
Happy Wednesday!
Sally
Leslie, guess what? You better get used to getting lots of comments from me! I just looked through all of your posts, and we seem to like the same things, so I'm going to become a follower! I love that red stool so much. It reminds me of the one my Mom has had for a million years. And I have that same little clock you have in your header! I think I'm really going to enjoy getting to know you better!
ReplyDeleteHappy REDnesday!
Carol

I didn't have any reds to share this week but had to come by and see all the great stuff everybody had to share. Happy REDnesday~
ReplyDeleteWell girl, I'm just lovin your blog! lol. You gotta the red going and I'm lovin it!

ReplyDeleteHi Leslie,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your visit and leaving a comment! I'm enjoying visiting your blog very much - in fact you gave me my topic for today, Rednesday. Try as I might, I couldn't come up with a thing and then I came here and the lightbulb went off. Hurray hurrah! :)
Oh! I've managed to confuse my own self with my giveaway so I wanted to be sure and ask you if you'd like to be included in the drawing for the current issue of "Where Women Create"? Sorry I'm such a doofus and can't figure out my own giveaway!!!
Also - yes, my banner is a family photo. The little girl in the center is my mother - circa 1923? The photo includes her parents, her father's siblings, and his mother and his aunt. I'm new to genealogy also - thankfully a relative on my maternal grandmother's side did the research for that branch but the other sides, I'm pretty clueless about so far.
Happy Rednesday and Wednesday!
Sally

Hi Leslie! Welcome to Rednesdays! I'm sorry I didn't see last week's post until now. I love your shadowbox - so cute! That stool is great! Reminds me of way back . . .
ReplyDeleteOh, by the way, you won't be an empty nester for long - I'm moving in! LOL! And I'm sure many other bloggers will be, too!
Don't worry about not writing much. I don't - my focus is on my photos, not my prose! Hope to see you next week!

Well, After seeing the pillows in your window seat, I'm just going to have to break down and buy some vintage tablecloths. And I love the red stool! Keep on blogging. :-)
