Busyness as Usual

Hi All-I've been a busy little elf!

I have been working on a project for a really long time...
And am starting to get things together and organized. I'll let you in on my little secret soon!
I forgot to show you my fall leaf garland. I used felted wool sweaters for the leaves,
and little felt balls and real acorn hats for the tops. Stitched and held together with rick rack. I ironed on fabric with fusible interfacing on the back.Easy and fun.
Also I keep forgetting to post this picture. Remember a few posts back about the ginormous honey crisp apple? Well I had to caramel coat it, and of course I'm not satisfied until it has some chocolate and crushed walnuts on it.
It took us 3 days to eat that thing, but it was worth all the calories. Yum! I hope you had a great weekend-we were busy, cleaning the garage, going to Ikea, watching football and eating(too much). Just wanted to thank you all for wonderful and helpful comments. They really make my day!

  1. Love your felt leaf garland. I have my leaves in the dining room. I love how you used a real acorn top for the felted acorns. Apple looks delicious.

  2. A girl has to have a Diet Coke, it goes so well with calories! It's my favorite. You've made me hungry for a caramel apple. Love the garland, and can't wait to see what you're going to do with your other pieces. Thanks for sharing.

  3. You tease!! It looks like a great project..I can't wait to see it.Did you make the top picture? If so ..OMG!!

    Love the garland.

Hugs Cindy from Rick-Rack and Gingham

  4. Hi Leslie!
You have been a busy little elf! Loving your miniature goodies and your Fall garland! Here's hoping I follow your example this week and get my ideas out of my noggin and onto my craft table - thanksgiving cards need to get in the mail this week and goodies for Thanksgiving dinner guests.
Happy happy holiday hustle and bustle to you!
    P.S. How's your Daddy?

  5. I added myself to follow your blog. You are more than welcome to visit mine and become a follower if you want to.

    God Bless You :-)

  6. HA! That's a funny shot of the decadent apple next to a diet Coke! I love your leaf garland, and it looks like maybe you're making little treats for the elves? I know they're not real, but they look good enough to eat!

  7. Those fall leaves and the acorns are adorable Leslie!
My mouth is watering after seeing the apple..mmmmm.
    Have a happy day!

  8. Hi Leslie!
Stopping by to say Hello and wish you Happy Thanksgiving in case I get bogged down in holiday prep and hubby being home the coming week. Can't wait for further peeks of your darling Santa's Workshop.
Wishing you and your dear ones a lovely holiday,
