Fun Fall Tablescape and Leaf Banner

It's been awhile since I've done a tablescape. I thought I'd do one with adding orange and fall colors for a fun table.
I found the brown jug at the thrift store, and filled it with grocery store flowers.
Check out Mr. and Mrs. Chipmunk salt and pepper shakers. Look at his little smile!
All of the orange stuff and gold glasses and wine glasses were also thrifted. The little orange plates were Crate and Barrel via GoodWill.  The bakelite flatware was won at an auction.

The brown woven placemats are from Walmart.I used a burlap table runner that I made a while ago. The brown edged dinner plates were my wedding china,

I used woolfelt to make a new fall banner. My old one was eaten up by something in the garage.
I cut 2 of each free handed leaf shape. Simple embroidery to the veins.I whip stitched the second leaf to the front.
Sewed the leaves onto some vintage seam binding. Done!
I didn't show this wall in the previous posts. In a future post,I'll be explaining how I got to this furniture arrangement in the family room. It took me forever to decide. You can see Bowie's doggie toys in the wooden bowl.
Lots going on around here and it's still around 90 degrees.Come on fall-where are you? Hope you'll are getting some lovely weather. Joining Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch where you can see tons of pretty scapes. Go check it out.

Fall Decor Part 2

To continue on with the fall decor, here's the front door entrance. I found the white bench and the cute little chair at the thrift store.

Fall wreath was found at Home Goods-love that store!
I put together this centerpiece in an old tool box.

Here is a far away view of the dining room.
The bar cart sits to the left of the dining table.I created a mini wine bar cart from this old hospital cart. I've had it for years and I think it's been in most rooms of the house. Just added the stuff-vintage ice bucket, thrifted etched wine glasses and hand towel.
Put some orange straws that I had in a ball jar. Found the cute fall cocktail napkins at Home Goods and added them into the lower shelf.
These were free printables  found on Pinterest from here.

I will be doing a simple fall tablescape soon and am working on a new leaf garland that I'll share.
I wanted to thank you for your sweet comments last week. I so missed the back and forth of blogging. By the way I'll be replying to your comments at the end of each post.
Still hot here, but we're hoping for a cool down soon. Hope you have a great week!

Finally back and Fall Decor

I am finally back after a really, really long break. Nothing bad happened, and no excuses. I have been seeing all the fall decor around Blogland and decided to join in on the fun. For any new people to this blog, most of my decor is from thrift stores, flea markets and garage sales, with some hand me downs and antique store finds. Lots of pic's so sit back and enjoy.
 Starting in the family room-
Everything, including the oak buffet is from the flea market and thrift store.I did paint the sign above on a garage sale headboard piece of wood.

Some cozy blankets for cool nights (not that that will happen anytime soon here in TX.)
My olden cabbage slicer is back on the wall.
Into the breakfast area. I love, love, love decorating this little hutch with mostly thrifted stuff.
Orange pitchers and vintage rose plates, and sugar and creamer are from the thrift. Orange sherberts are from my Mom. Brown edge plates are my wedding china.

I will fill you in on the re-do of the family room soon. And for you old followers-I know you're asking, "Where's the red?" Don't worry-it' ll be back soon. I'll share the dining room and my new/old bar cart decked out for autumn next time. All I can say is-it's good to be back!
