Be Merry!

Here's the last of my decorations. I have a lot of pictures so bear with me.I'm linking to It's a Very Cherry World for wonderful Rednesday!
Dining room.
See the little hearts on the back of the chairs?
My pillows on the living room couch.
Vintage music above the piano.

My toolbox full of vintage Christmas books.
I am late thanking Kim K. for this beautiful vintage shadow box. I was so surprised and honored to receive this.
Look at the wonderful details.  I love it! Thank you so much Kim!
I thought I'd show you the newest ornie that will be in one of my sons stockings this year. He did the artwork. I just size it and copy it. Then I sew away. This one was easy, because it was done in black.
Here it is before I made it into the ornament.I cut it out, added a cardboard inside and stitched around it with the sewing machine to finish it off.
Here's the finished ornie. I hope he likes it. He should-it's his artwork on the poster!
I've baked chocolate snowballs, cowboy cookies, chocolate- chocolate chunk, gingerbread cookies, and  and candied orange peels.Made blueberry scones, cinnamon rolls, red and green enchiladas (for Christmas Eve). I shopped till I dropped, wrapped, crafted and now will put up my feet, like  Santa for a while and just enjoy the season.

I'll be back after the New Year, so I can spend some time with the family.

Thank you for the past year of blogging-it has been truly wonderful getting to know you.Wishing you all the Merriest Christmas and Happiest New Year!

Vintage Toys

Family Room Tour- Vintage ToysI'm joining Sue at It's a very cherry word for Rednesday. Above is a little pepperment set,I found in McKinney a few weeks ago.
Snowman vignette, Snowman cards are from a few posts ago if you would like to copy them.
Our tree is mish mash of homemade and bought ornies-no theme-just ones we like.
My older son and I will fight over this one. He had the barn when he was a kid-it's still in the garage.
I decided to do a vintage toy them this year and pulled out all my kids stuff from around the house.
Picture on the little piano is of me and my brother on Christmas morning. I got a toy iron and he got a guitar. Wish I had those things now.
Kids Christmas books and an old red record. Sock monkeys from garage sales and thrift stores.
The stockings were my brothers and mine. I will change them out to my kids stockings before Christmas, so I can fill them.
Vintage card and ornie. I have to use blue and red in my family room, so I think this ties it in nicely.
This concludes part 2-still to come kitchen and vintage piesafe. Happy Rednesday!

More Christmas

Here's more Christmas decor. I put my my little homemade houses in my bedroom.
The colors are soft green and a little pink. I made the salt shaker snowmen last year. I got the idea from Mamie Janes blog.
The houses were from Hobby Lobby. Just paint and add lots of glitter.
Here they are all together.
This is my little vintage vignette. I decided to do a sleigh full of reindeer.
A vintage pretty piece of wrapping paper framed up. Easy to do.
Some happy elves. This guy is hanging on for dear life!

I have been trying to change out the banners for each season on my little chalkboard.I resized my vintage Christmas cards and pinned them on to bakers twine.

I'll show you the last of my decorating next week. I loved reading all the Sweet Shoppe comments. Thank you! I had so much fun doing that. Next year, I'm going to decorate the inside for Christmas.
I'm linking up to It's a Very Cherry World for Rednesday. Please go check out some fun and pretty reds.
It finally got cold here in Texas. It's really kind of nice.I hope you are enjoying the snow, if you got any. One more week to finish shopping, baking, and have a piano party for my kids. Hope you have a good week!

Christmas at the Sweet Shoppe

One of my favorite things is the Dollhouse Sweet Shoppe. It's all decked out for Christmas this year.
Mrs. Smith and her little dog Candy are just finishing up".Where to put that last wreath? "
It was fun building the snowman. We'll call him Frosty.
It's getting colder out here. I wish I had stored these lights better last year. They are in a tangle!
Better go back in -It's starting to snow again. We'll sit and have a cup of cocoa and bake some gingerbread for the shop.
Kim at Musings from Kim K. made me do it! I'm so glad I did. What fun it is to play. I'm linking to My Favorites Things at Mocking Bird Hill Cottage. Go check out everyone else's faves. Come on back later this week to see some more Christmas Decor. This time in the real house! We're off to a Historic holiday Home tour. Have a great weekend!

Fa la la la la...

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas-except it's going to be close to 80 degrees today. Crazy! I'm still doing some decorating, but here's the kitchen.  You've seen some of these things before, but I Christmased up the little kitchen hutch. For those of you who missed this-here's a link to the redo of this thrift store hutch.I pulled out all the red and green to put in here.

Most of the stuff in here was thrifted or found at garage sales. Here's my little kitchen tree.

My shelf above the window has a little greenery added. It's kind of easy to do Christmas, when your kitchen is already red and white.
Here's my Ikea wreath on the back door.
Our little cocoa station set up on the counter. Napkins from Ikea.

I made these Grandmas coat ornies awhile back. I used felted wool stuffed and  hand sewed them. The little hanger is bent wire.See the little beret?
Here's her car coats.Don't they look like Grandmas coats? These will go on the big tree.
Thank you  sweet Renee from My Vintage Mending for this cute music ornament and glitter cookie cutter ornie. I love them both! They will look so pretty on the tree.
I'm joining Brenda's party Tweak it Tuesday . Go check out some other tweaks and projects for some inspiration.I will post more Christmas decor later this week. Maybe our weather will cool down. I'll be watching some Christmas movies this weekend. I already saw the Grinch-just love that one! Deck the Halls and Happy week to you!
