Vintage Toys

Family Room Tour- Vintage ToysI'm joining Sue at It's a Very Cherry World for Rednesday. Above is a little pepperment set,I found in McKinney a few weeks ago.
Snowman vignette, Snowman cards are from a few posts ago if you would like to copy them.
Our tree is mish mash of homemade and bought ornies-no theme-just ones we like.
My older son and I will fight over this one. He had the barn when he was a kid-it's still in the garage.
I decided to do a vintage toy them this year and pulled out all my kids stuff from around the house.
Picture on the little piano is of me and my brother on Christmas morning. I got a toy iron and he got a guitar. Wish I had those things now.
Kids Christmas books and an old red record. Sock monkeys from garage sales and thrift stores.
The stockings were my brothers and mine. I will change them out to my kids stockings before Christmas, so I can fill them.
Vintage card and ornie. I have to use blue and red in my family room, so I think this ties it in nicely.
This concludes part 2-still to come kitchen and vintage piesafe. Happy Rednesday!
Leslie

  2. Oh Leslie, everything is so very darling! I love every single thing! You have such a great eye.
I'm a complete later tater over here, dragging my feet and unmotivated this year WAH! But Rednesday may just give me the holiday push I need, so much fun seeing everyone's holiday decor.
Please don't fret over the Santa pattern, time is so precious during the holidays ... if you come across it that's great, but don't feel like you need to hunt it down, okie dokie? :)

Happy Rednesday and almost Christmas (wow!),
    Sally

  12. I love your toy theme. The fireplace evokes all kinds of nostalgia in me. I love that farm ornament! My brother had that when we were kids and I loved to make the door moo! (I had the doll house.) I've really enjoyed this post and I better go check out some more I've missed!

  17. I am speechless! What a clever idea to display Santa toys by the fireplace! I love what you have done! Eye Spy a wonderful card in the last photo, is it available on your blog? The blue is always a favorite of mine as well. Thank you so much for visiting GBP, it truly allowed me the opportunity to come full circle on such a wonderful period in my life. Wishing you the merriest of Christmas! Elizabeth
