January Days

It's been a really busy week. We've been doing little repairs and fixes that we like to get out of the way at the beginning of the year. Like caulking, fixing a leaky washing machine(thanks, youtube),and painting door frames. Stuff that doesn't look like you've done a thing, but feels good to get it out of the way.

My next big project is to tie the quilt top I got at  an estate sale recently. I just love the colorful scrappy top.I will be painting my kitchen cabinets soon, so stay tuned for that.
I've also been shopping for a new computer-mine is on it's last leg. I had fun putting this collage together of most of my craft projects from 2012.
The weather is warming up a little and the sun is out. Looking forward to doing some new projects this year and finishing some of the old ones. Happy Week to you!!
Leslie

  5. Leslie,
Looking forward to how the cupboard painting goes....I wanted to get mine done this year, but Wayne found out his company he works for is either selling or shutting down in a few months...so back to unemployment which is a whole 800.00 a month in AZ! I am feeling the stress already...trying hard to stay busy! :)

  6. I was just thinking to myself today that it would be a great time to tackle a few small projects (like touch up painting) because not as much "stuff" is out to get in the way and guests have gone home. That and I don't have too much on my calendar except taxes... ugh... I'll do anything to avoid those... bring on the painting projects!

  7. Hi Leslie! I think you guys are the two most industrious people and my husband and I are the laziest. Little in the way of sprucing up happens around here hahahaha!

It's such fun seeing the mosaic of your projects. Your found quilt looks like so much fun and I adore tied quilts. I'll look forward to seeing it when you're done.

George started an at home chemotherapy med yesterday, in conjunction with two other meds he's already on. Our vet says he's seen very good results ... Fingers crossed it will buy him some more happy and healthy days.

Happy home sprucing and crafty week to you! xo

  10. What fun and colorful projects you've created this year! I like to tie up loose ends at the start of the year, too, before I jump into any new projects. Since I'm one of the bloggers who can't upload photos (I paid for storage a few months ago, so that's not it) I won't be posting for awhile, which is just as well since nobody wants to see half-finished projects anyway! Good luck with the cabinet painting. It makes such a difference. And I can't wait to see the completed quilt!

  12. Hi Leslie,
Wow...You've staarted the new year with a roar! Just look at all the things you've accomplished in just a few short days.
I love your reds...You always have so many things to look at. The quilt top will be a fun project. I can't wait to see it after you tie it.
I, too, am on the lookout for a new computer. Mine died about a month ago and I've been using my husbands old one. It's ancient and difficult to work with.
Thank you for your many thoughtful comments this past year. It's been such a joy getting to know you.
Have a great week, my friend.
    Blessings,
