Small Projects

A friend of my son's is having her first baby, so I thought I'd make a little something. I know her colors are gray in the nursery. I went to JoAnns and found some cute fabrics. I did the back with white terrycloth.
To personalize each bib, I did a simple patch. This one is embroidered with gray floss.
This mini crochet was found in the dollar bins at Michaels.
Just cut this out of felt and sewed it on.
I got the pattern off the internet and there are so many free patterns out there. Very fun little project. I also included a Target gift card, so the new parents can buy some diapers or whatever.

Still working away on recipes and trying to organize my little pantry. Will share the progress soon.

By the way, the little bellhop above was made by E at Creative Breathing. I know some of you will recognize her work. She no longer blogs, but I still love many of her creative projects.

We escaped any bad weather and it will be in the 60's this week. Very nice for walking with Bowie. I hope anyone that got the blizzard is digging out and staying warm. Have a great week!

  1. Glad you didn't have any severe weather! We didn't either and my hubby was disappointed! :) Your little bibs turned out just darling! I'm sure the parents will just love them and I really like how you personalized them! Thanks for popping in to see me and your prayers.

Love the bell hop. Too cute!! Yes, aren't we having great temps.
We just got back from our long weekend. It was cold in Waco and very windy the first day but settled down and was really gorgeous the rest of the trip. Lots to share soon. I'll send you an email this afternoon. Looking forward to Friday! Have a great day. xo

  3. The bibs are darling, and I love the way you personalized each one! What cute fabrics to coordinate with the baby's room! Your little bellhop is adorable, too. We've only got a dusting of snow every day and the weather has been mild, so I've been making myself get out and walk every day again like I did when we had a dog. We spent the day with grands yesterday and found the perfect sliding hill in the woods behind their house. Enjoy the mild weather!

    1. Vickie, I'm glad you didn't get a terrible snow. Sliding down a hill in a light snow sounds perfect. Much better then having to shovel two tons of the white stuff. We're pretty lucky here in Texas-maybe one little snow s year. Have a fun week.
