It's that time of year again. Time to change colors. I like to go back to my reds, but decided to add a little blue this year. Thinkin' about, Memorial Day, Flag Day, which is also my Mom's birthday and of course the Fourth of July. Most dishes and that cute red casserole picked up at the thrift store.
Pillows made from vintage linens and an old quilt square. This is just a little preview-I'm still working on it. I'll share my family room and kitchen next time.My Gardenia is blooming like crazy. We've gotten so much rain.
What a pretty pure white blossom. The scent is unbelievable.
Still trying to catch up. Son has moved home for the summer and there is stuff everywhere. I forgot how much boys like to eat. Back to the grocery store. Have a good week.
Leslie
I like the look of red white and blue! I need to decorate my mantle. It has "naked" since taking down my Easter things! Yes, "boys" do eat A LOT!

I say red/white/blue from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Day after Labor Day = orange, yellow, red, brown thru Thanksgiving Day. Love your red/wht/blue!

DeleteYour hutch looks so pretty all red, white and blue-tI-fied, Leslie, and so patriotic for the summer. Your pillows are just darling, too. I can't believe the size of your gardenia! Oh, I wish I could smell it's heavenly scent. I still have my 35 year old son here, and I know what you're talking about with the food!
ReplyDeleteI'm so anxious to get some patriotic decor out at the lake and at home. Love all your red, white and blue combinations. How lovely is your Gardenia bush? I bet it smells heavenly. I hope you noticed that I hung Emma's spool gal on her graduation tree. Thank you again, Leslie!
ReplyDeleteYour red, white, and blue touches look great! Isn't it amazing how different the house is as grown up kids come and go?

ReplyDeleteOh Leslie, your red and blue looks so pretty and it's so easy to change out your decor with your white covered furniture and your brown leather. Your style is justt so vintage and charming. The feed sack pillow is adorable and so is the blue and white quilted one. The tool box tray is wonderful. Isn't it fun to get inspiration from our blogging friends? I still wish I could get a whiff of your gardenia bush!
