Red Roman Shade

Today for Rednesday,I'm showing you the before of my kitchen door. This was here when we moved in. I didn't like not being able to see out the door. In fact it was driving me crazy. I decided to make a roman shade.I went to You Tube and found some really great directions. I used fabric that I had. Here it is on the floor waiting for the glue to dry on the little dowel rods. I have it weighted down with ME Home Companions. After turning inside out and stringing it, here it is.
I'm sorry about the dark pic-it's so hard to take towards a window. I'm really happy with it. It is complete privacy when it's down-and best of all I can now see out the door!! Here's another view of my new little breakfast nook. Added the red window toppers and the new light over the table. You can barely see the window seat behind the table. It's coming along.
Hope you all have a great Rednesday! Go here to see more.

Red Redo and ME Giveaway

I love Mary Englebreit and I know some of you do too. I'm in the mood for an ME Giveaway!I made this Christmas cutie-she looks kind of MEish.
This is a little coaster set and crocheted doily in Christmas colors.
An ME tin set.
All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and I'll put you in the drawing. I'll draw a winner on Saturday at 6:00 P.M. So get the word out all you ME lovers! Now on to other things. I told you I'd show you my before and after for my continuing mini redos. These chairs were in my dining room-they are really old and I was getting tired of them. I'd looked around for new kitchen chairs, and couldn't find anything I liked. SO I decided to switch my kitchen and dining chairs.
Here's the tired old kitchen table. I needed something with a little personality...so with a little paint magic...
Here's the "new" set. I painted the table white and aged it a little and painted the chairs red.
I think it will do the trick. Also goes pretty well for Christmas decor, that I'll be sharing soon, and goes great for Rednesday. Go check out It's A Very Cherry World to enjoy some more reds.
Happy Rednesday!
