New Projects and Finds

First of all, son is fine, made it through  Sandy and will be home Monday. Brooklyn, where he was staying didn't even lose power. He was very lucky. My heart goes out to everyone that was affected by Sandy. Hopefully recovery will go faster then expected.
I've been a busy bee. Here's what I've been working on. These are my favorites zipper bags so far.

These will be in the shop as soon as I can get them listed. I keep getting more ideas and it's fun to use up some of my vintage trims and buttons.
I been thrifting and garage saling  and we went to best estate sale yesterday. Here's some of  my booty.
I can't wait to use this pretty Christmas table cloth.
I am so addicted to kids books.  A belated Thank you to Tammy from Tammy's in Love. She sent me some Autumn in a bag from her beautiful tree. What a nice surprise. Thanks, Tammy.
It was about 88 degrees yesterday- a record breaker. What happened to fall here in Texas? I have done  a little decorating and will share later this week.Hope you all have  wonderful week!

I can't even imaging 88 degrees right now. It hasn't been above 35 for days in MN.

Happy to hear your son is safe.

I'm so thankful that your son is safe and sound!

  12. You have been a busy girl. Love your zipper bags they are so cute. I agree with you what happen to our fall. I can remember when I was little seems like the weather was cooler and for longer periods of time too.

  13. WHEW! So glad to hear your son is fine! I have an acquaintance in Manhattan and she walked down 11 flights of stairs and down 58 blocks in the dark to be with her friends who had power. Still waiting to hear about a family of friend in NJ!

Love your pouches Leslie, so darling! People will just grab those up.

You bad girl! You are tempting me with books. I'm trying not to come home with more books - we are buried under them, between ours and my parents. I even gave away a TON and we still have too many. ACK!

My poor husband is staying late at school this week to enter grades for report cards, so he was on the nod last night during the election coverage but I got him to stay up for the results - thankfully they came in around nine here. We let out a joyful whoop and toddled off straight to bed. We're such live wires ;)

  14. Oh Leslie! Your new zippered bags are wonderful! You truly could sell every Scottie one you make. I am so glad your son was spared the heartache of Sandy. I feel so awful for the families especially during the upcoming holidays.
I always love to see what you are up to. Have a great weekend ahead. Elizabeth

  15. Hello Leslie, I'm visiting from LV's blog. Wishing you a Happy Pink Autumn Saturday. I'm one of your new followers. Your zippered bags are adorable. Joyous Wishes, Linda

  16. I love your bags. They are such works of art! I'm addicted to children's books too. I had quite a collection at one time when I homeschooled my now-grownup children. I have a new grand daughter now (my first grandbaby!), so I have a new excuse to buy children's books again!
