Happy Mothers Day to you all. I had a very fun and relaxing day yesterday. Flowers are from son. He also brought chocolate covered strawberries-my fave.
The whole room smells like lilacs. That has to be one of the best smells.
I haven't been thrifting much lately, but got out for a little bit on Saturday. I found these two cuties. I think I'll use them in my craftroom.
I always pick up aluminum stuff. I will add these to my coaster collection.
I've been stitching away on this mini sampler. Almost done.
Mostly I've been taking care of Bo. I thought I'd show you what one week does. The first few days he would just sit and look at the toys. Now he's tearing across the yard with his toy. He loves to play fetch. He's such a happy little guy.
Here he is posing for the camera. We're making some progress on potty training. I forgot how time consuming that was.
Thanks for all your wonderful comments about Bo. He has truly added so much to our family already. Just love that little guy! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.Leslie
So glad to hear you had a great Mother's Day! Your little Bo is just too cute!! Such a sweet guy!

P.S. Thank you so much for your kind words and sweet comments on my nieces wedding. It was a beautiful evening and they left for Rome yesterday, the lucky kids!

ReplyDeleteFun finds and gorgeous flowers, too. I can't wait until the neighbor's lilacs bloom!

ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet that your son bought you such pretty flowers and topped it off by getting your the chocolate strawberries...that is straight from the heart :) I'm so happy to see that Bo has a happy home :) My daughter that passed use to find strays all the time and then she would post them on facebook to find them a home...she also took them to the vet for check ups and shots...and she was only 19. She was such a sweet loving girl.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty flowers...:) What a sweet son! I love the vintage finds as well and those containers will be great in your craft room. Your little fur baby is too cute....:)

Hey! How's that new bouncing boy of yours?! We want to hear all about his hi jinks and we want pictures, yes we do, yes sirrie! ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy happy weekend!
Wishing you a happy Memorial Day weekend with Mister Bo! Woof woof!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers, and lilacs smell wonderful, but yours are hyacinths...they smell wonderful too and will scent your entire home!!
ReplyDeleteYou can force hyacinth bulbs in the winter in a sunny window, and they will bloom beautifully. Then you can plant the bulb outside the next fall and have pretty flowers in your yard as well!!
I LOVE your puppy...he is so cute and I bet he likes to snuggle with you!
Blessings,
J
The flowers and strawberries sound just perfect for Mother's day!! I love the hammered aluminum pieces, too. Fun and still affordable.
ReplyDeleteHey! I simply saw one other message in one other weblog that looked like this.
ReplyDeleteHow do you know all these things? That’s one cool post.

Hi Leslie! I've started to comment twice and say I'm thinking of you but got called away. Is everything okay? Hope you're just having fun hanging out with your new fella Bo and busy with life over there. Knowing you, there's probably another big project in the works. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy almost weekend to you!
Hi Leslie! Both of your comments came through to me, yippie! Glad to hear you're doing well, sorry Bo is keeping you a little busier than planned. Hope he is able to get out in the world very soon. I think I'd pass out from exhaustion with a puppy - George and Gracie are senior citizens and they poop me out. I guess they require more attention since the situation is new and unfamiliar for all of us. Honey and I had our routine and she loved to chase the squirrels and lay in the sun by the garage, etc., while I was busy doing whatever - but George and Gracie really want my attention all the time. An adjustment for all of us.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you, look forward to hearing about whatever hijinks Bo is up to and whatever craftiness you've been up to! xo
Too funny - I'm like the thing that won't go away in your comments! It's been five weeks and it's time for you to come back now Miss L - I'm sure there's been work in that new garden and a sewing project, if not several. Tell all! I miss you, we all miss you.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your good wishes for Georgie - seems to just be a bit of tummy upset. Thank heavens. Hope Mr. Bo is feeling better now too!
Happy First Day of Summer!
I've missed you! Hope you're OK.
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie,
ReplyDeleteHappy belated 4th of July! Hope you had a lovely day! Sorry to be a day late - we were lazy bones yesterday, just ate a lot and sat around - so I don't know where the time went to?! I think we may officially be old fuddy duddies now LOL. Hope all is well at your end and look forward to hearing your latest. :)
Happy summer!
