I'm back!

It's been so long, I almost forgot how to upload my pictures. Thank you for all your concern. Nothing bad happening-we've just been busy. I have to show you a before and after.
Bowie got his first haircut. He also started doggie day camp. He made 2 new friends-Chloe the chihuahua (about 2  pounds) and Leia the chihuahua mix. Much better after!
I found this suitcase to make into a bed.
It was in great shape on the inside.
I just sewed a flannel pillowcase and added the little banner with his name.I also added metal brackets and screwed them in, so it won't accidentally close on him. He really loves sleeping on this when he's in the family room.
I found these at Michaels and painted them up and just glued them on . Super easy!
We had a good peach crop on our tree this year. I made some peach crumbles.

I have alot to share with you guys. We've had plumbing issues-1 a week for 3 weeks. Got that taken care of.  We also did a mini bathroom redo which I'll share next time. I haven't been crafting at all, but have been working on reorganizing my craft room. And on top of that Bowie had ringworm, which means lots of extra laundry, vet visits and doggie baths, He;s finally over it-Yeah! I can't believe the summer is halfway over. We've got a closet redo in the planning stages-so lots happening here. I have been lurking at your blogs and I'm happy to get back in the swing of things! Bring it on!

  1. Bowie!!! Could he be any cuter? Seriously adorable with his haircut! You've inspired me to make one of those dog beds. Great Job!
Wishing now that I had a fresh peach!
    Welcome back,
    Erica :)

  2. Leslie! So glad to see you back! Can't wait to see the projects you are working on. Bowie looks so cute in his new bed. (It can't accidently close on him, can it?) Peach crumble sounds delicious! I need to head to the farmers market this weekend and see what they've got.

  3. Happy to have you back!! Oh my Bowie is so darn cute!! Love the little suitcase bed and bunting!! So sweet!! And, such yummy peaches! Wishing you a lovely day! xo Heather

  4. Welcome back from your maternity leave! hehe I can certainly see why he's your number one priority right now. He's adorable! And the photo of him sleeping in his new bed is precious.

Your peaches look delish! We don't have any peach trees, but our apple trees are producing bumper crops this year and I can't wait to start baking with them. I'm looking forward to seeing all the changes you've been making. :)

  5. Yippie yippie! Welcome back! Now I can cease being the thing that won't go away hahahahhaha.

Bo is such a cutie pie and so handsome in his new haircut. Love his special bed you made for him, he looks so cozy.

How wonderful to have a peach tree! We've been getting wonderful peaches from the Santa Monica farmers market each week this summer - yesterday we got stuck in the elevator at the parking structure. WAH. I'm claustrophobic, so you can imagine how much I enjoyed that. I thought I was going to die right there.

Have you finished your DC cross stitch?

Can't wait to see all of your house and craft room fluffing up. We've been (seems like ever so slowly) taking boxes to the Good Will all summer. So much stuff and we're still not out from under. Good grief. I wonder if we'll ever find our home under all this mess?!

    Happy almost weekend xo

  6. I'm glad to see you back in action again. You've been missed. I'm completely in love with Bowie. I'm almost afraid to show this post to Emma, because she's convinced we need to add a dog to the mix. Our two cats would protest greatly. Your dog bed is absolutely brilliant. Welcome back, dear friend!

  7. So glad you resolved your issues! We need tohave lunch & catch up soon. It's been much too long!

  8. C-U-T-E!!! He does love his little bed! Bummer about the plumbing issues and doggie worms!
    Happy weekend!

  9. Thanks so much for coming by. Glad to know all is well with you...Love that cutie dog.

  10. It is so good to hear from you my dear. I am glad you are back and everything is ok. Bowie is so cute. What a great idea to a suitcase into a doggie bed. I happen to have one just like that one. Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving such a sweet comment.

  11. Bowie looks so cute and cozy in his new bed. I don't wish is more adorable the puppy dog or the bed. You at so talented :)
    Have a great week,
    Your blogging sister, Connie :)

  12. First of all, I liked your swimming pool story and the DQ! Your little Bowie is adorable! Oh my goodness, and so is his suitcase bed. I have a golden retriever. I would need a trunk!
