The Big Apple and more Halloween Decor

Has any one ever seen an apple this BIG? The top apple is a normal size apple and the bottom one-well- it looks like an apple on steroids! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this at Kroger. I just had to buy one , they are both honey crisps, which are my faves. An apple a day (this size) would keep the doctor away for about a year!
I made this charm bracelet a few years ago and I actually soldered the charm(not my best skill)
Here is a little penny rug out of felted wool that I made, also a few years ago. I think the edge kind of looks like candy corn.
I added a thrift store blanket and a Halloween dishtowel for color to my couch.
Made these pillows awhile back. I love the vintage Halloween print on the right.

My Dad has been here all week and is doing better. My Aunt (his Sis) and my Brother are flying in tomorrow for a weekend mini-reunion for the weekend. Should be fun. Hope you all have a great weekend!

  1. Wow! That is a big apple. Yum. I love what you did with the couch. So glad to hear your dad is doing better. I hope you all enjoy your special weekend.

    Much love!

  2. I love the fall decor & I love Honey Crisp apples , too. The ones I have been buying have large this year too, but not as big as that one . lol

  3. Nice Halloween colors, they go together so well.

  4. I tried my very first honey crisp last week, and now I understand why people rave about them!
That penny rug is awesome Leslie! I've been wanting to make one for every season, but never do it. Those pillows are great too, especially the cute witch one. And that bracelet is so charming. You are definitely a craft diva, girlie!

  5. Hi Leslie,
All of your pictures are just great. No, I don't believe that I've seen an apple that big!! I should check our Kroger to see what I can find. I was just thinking of buying apples this morning to make an apple dumpling desert.

Also, I just love your penny rug! That is the coolest thing!! You did a great job on it.

Have fun with your family. :o)

  6. Hi Leslie!
I don't know how on earth I missed this post?! Geez I'm losing my mind these days - sorry! I adore all of your Halloween decor. I am especially smitten with your penny rug, so darling.
I'm so glad to hear dad is feeling better! Hoping you had a lovely reunion with your family.
    Thinking of you!

  7. Hi Leslie, wow, where to start? That IS one giant apple and I do love Honey Crisp. You have been one busy gal. The charm bracelet, love it! The penny rug, love it! Your couch, love it! I love the black and white with a little orange and gold thrown in for the fall effect. Do you change the accessories with the seasons? I would love to have a white couch but it would NEVER stay clean in my house. OK, I think I just set the record for using the word "love" in one post, LOL, sorry! Have a wonderful weekend, Nan
