It's a Small World

Yesterday, I was out shopping and went into a doll house store in Dallas. You could spend hours in there looking at the tiny stuff. I asked the owner of Through The Keyhole if I could take some pic's and she agreed. Here are some amazing dollhouse rooms. This is ladies dress shop, complete with all the dreamy dress forms and pretty mirrors. Check out the detail.
I love this red retro kitchen set-I'd love to have one like this someday.
A sweet nursery for baby.
I love this- an unfinished house on wheels-Cindy! This would be so cute done up retro style.
The last is a gingerbread small house with Santa and his elves working away. I love the creativity that it takes to put one of these tiny houses together. I know some of you out there are working on your own dollhouse, Check out my dollhouse sweet shop if you haven't seen it. That was one of the most fun projects I ever worked on. If you can't have the real thing-you can always dream in miniature!

  1. Oh my goodness, this is adorable. I am blown away by the details. I wanna be a doll. ;)

    Thanks for sharing. Happy REDnesday!

  2. These are adorable and so elaborately decorated. I love the travel trailer. It would be fun to do that one.

I love your "Sweet Shop". It is sooooo Sweet.

  3. Hi Leslie!
I adore dollhouses and miniatures. My mom and I used to go to Miniature Shows together, so much fun. Thanks so much for sharing all this mini fun with us and for the memories.

  4. Hello,
this is so cute. I love dollhouses. The best one is the ginger breadhouse with Santa Claus. I have never before seen a house like this as dollhouse.
    That was real fun.
    Greetings, Johanna

I enjoyed seeing your pictures today.

  6. I love dollhouses. I wish that we had a wonderful shop like that in my town. Thanks for a lovely tour and I will be dreaming about sweet mini rooms all day!!

  7. Oh my gosh are these ever beautiful! Imagine the time! I wanted to let you know that I only use cardboard as my template, card stock as the middle layer for tags. In tags that I have had for three years now, ones that don't use the "Sandwich Method" are all bowed. The ones layered remain flat. Thank you as always for taking the time to visit me! Elizabeth

  8. HI Leslie, what a fun shop to visit! I love looking at dollhouses and and your sweet shop, is beyond sweet! If I can add to what Elizabeth said, If I'm making something that I want to be fairly stiff and hold up, I use Bristol paper/board for the center part of the sandwich. You can buy it at any craft/art store in tablets and it is fairly inexpensive. Have a wonderful weekend, Nan

  9. OH MY GOODNESS!!! I absolutely LOVE this!!!!

  10. Wonderful! I love reading stories like this, you must have been so proud. Hope you're all doing well now!
