Pinafore Pretties

I think most of you got my little teaser from last week. Yes, I made some dolls. I had so much fun making them!I'm going to call them Pinafore Pretties. This is the first time I've made up a doll pattern.
I have tons of vintage cutter linens that were just waiting to be made into something new and pretty. I absolutely loved making these little aprons. Adding rick rack and little bows.
I used trims and bindings from my Moms sewing stuff that I brought back after my Dad died.
Each one has it's own personality.
I will be adding these to my shop by the end of the week. I hope you like them!
Speaking of shops , don't miss Renee's at My Vintage Mending Grand Opening this week. I know she 's going to have some real treats in her shop!
A bit of randomness. This is what I pass on the way to Home Depot. The little donkey is so cute!
Son got back from Europe yesterday safe and sound and had a wonderful time in France, Belgium and Spain. I hope you are all cooling down a little bit. Have a great week!
Leslie

  1. You have absolutely outdone yourself! These are wonderful! I can't pick a favorite. What a lot of work you have put into each of these. I so envy anyone who can sew. Sigh! I just knew the reveal would be fabulous! Elizabeth

  4. Oh Leslie! I love them, so adorable and charming! People are just going to snatch those cuties up lickety split.

Where do you get all of your energy from?! You are a powerhouse, getting so many projects done.

I haven't started my stitching at all. WAH! So hard to find time with hubby home and then there's all the stuff to sift through still ... hopefully there will be an end soon fingers crossed.

So glad to hear your son is home and had a wonderful time (although he forgot to stow us away in his backpack teehee!).

Happy happy summer and lots more crafting to you!

  8. Hi Leslie!
I guess we posted on each others blogs at the same time yesterday :) You lucky! How great to be so nearby horses and that adorable donkey - I wish I could have land with all sorts of animals.

How are you surviving the heat? I'm embarrassed to say with everyone else suffering so much that we've been fine here on the coast. My cousin and her family are about an hour from St. Louis and I don't know how they've managed with 108 degree temps for days on end.

So glad you enjoyed the movie - an anglophiles dream cast, huh?! We saw a fun French movie a few days ago, The Intouchables - guess it won a lot of French and other European awards.

Today we're going to see the wonderful classic "Singing in the Rain" at the theater. What fun to get to see it on the big screen. I read recently that Gene Kelly did the famous scene dancing in the rain, with a high fever. WOW!

Tomorrow is getting a new garage door installed ... whoopie ... NOT!

Sending cool breezes from WLA and Happy crafting!

  9. Your dollies are absolutely fantastic!!!! They are going to go like hotcakes! I live in a rural area too and get to see all kinds of wild life on my drive into the city to work each day. Glad you DS is home safe and sound. No matter how old they are, they are still Mama's little boys aren't they?
