Finally back and Fall Decor

I am finally back after a really, really long break. Nothing bad happened, and no excuses. I have been seeing all the fall decor around Blogland and decided to join in on the fun. For any new people to this blog, most of my decor is from thrift stores, flea markets and garage sales, with some hand me downs and antique store finds. Lots of pic's so sit back and enjoy.
 Starting in the family room-
Everything, including the oak buffet is from the flea market and thrift store.I did paint the sign above on a garage sale headboard piece of wood.

Some cozy blankets for cool nights (not that that will happen anytime soon here in TX.)
My olden cabbage slicer is back on the wall.
Into the breakfast area. I love, love, love decorating this little hutch with mostly thrifted stuff.
Orange pitchers and vintage rose plates, and sugar and creamer are from the thrift. Orange sherberts are from my Mom. Brown edge plates are my wedding china.

I will fill you in on the re-do of the family room soon. And for you old followers-I know you're asking, "Where's the red?" Don't worry-it' ll be back soon. I'll share the dining room and my new/old bar cart decked out for autumn next time. All I can say is-it's good to be back!
Leslie

  4. I'm so happy to see this post! Your home looks so warm and inviting with your thrifted autumn accents. I love your hutch with pops of orange! And of course I noticed those adorable salt and pepper shakers. Sweet!

How do you like your white slipcovered sofa? I just love the look, but I don't know if it would hold up in our house (visits from grandchildren). Anyway it looks so pretty with your warm colored pillows and throws. Happy fall!

  5. Thanks Vickie.
This is the second white slip covered sofa that we've had. I love being able to throw it in the wash, especially if the dog gets muddy footprints on it. I never worry about stains. Good luck figuring that out. Happy Fall to you.
